Adel Neighbourhood plan

The Adel Neighbourhood Plan has been submitted to Leeds City Council as the first stage in the approval process.  It has completed the Council’s mandatory consultation process and has been through a formal examination by a qualified external examiner to ensure that it is consistent with all legal and regulatory requirements.

A copy of the submitted Adel Neighbourhood Plan can be downloaded here:  Adel Neighbourhood Plan – Submission Version

and a copy of the Examiner’s Report can be downloaded here:  Adel Neighbourhood Plan – Examiners Report – final

The appendices and other background documents that were submitted with the Neighbourhood Plan can be found on this page.

The Council have now issued their Regulation 18 notice which sets out all the  changes that have to be made to the Neighbourhood Plan to finalise it.  This has now been completed but before the Council can schedule and run a referendum of all residents in the Adel area on whether or not to adopt the Plan, we need to renew the official designation of the Forum which is our authority to submit the Plan on behalf of residents.  This is currently underway (see the home page for more details) and once complete we expect to move quickly to the referendum.

The Neighbourhood Forum’s Steering Group is now planning how we will publicise the forthcoming referendum and encourage residents to vote to support the adoption of the Plan.
