Adel neighbourhood Forum

The Neighbourhood Forum was set up to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for the area so as to give residents a voice in local developments. This process is now very close to completion and the latest status can be seen on the Neighbourhood Plan page.

Before the Plan can go to a referendum the Forum needs to be designated by Leeds City Council to prepare a neighbourhood plan on behalf of residents. This designation lasts for 5 years and expired in July. We have applied to be re-designated for a further 5 year period and the Council is currently undertaking a statutory 6 week consultation on the application which is open from Wed 9 October to Wed 20 November. In addition recent years the Forum has started to take on the mantle of the old Adel Association to represent and inform the residents of Adel on wider matters than just planning. We are now maintaining a list of local shops and businesses on the Services page and are starting to advertise events and activities in the area on the Events page.
